Try to memorise:

  • the regular -ω in the active and the middle/passive forms of the present tense,
  • the infinitive (-ειν and -εσθαι),
  • the present participle endings (which have the same spelling as the present participle for the verb “to be” or εἰμί) and
  • the endings of the1st and 2nd declension adjective, e.g. ἀγαθός ή όν and the definite article, ὁ ἡ τό

Other forms were introduced for recognition when you see them, e.g., the typical future endings with σ like λύσω “I will release” and the aorist like ἔλυσα “I released”).
