The Academy’s performance of the Symposium at the FOPA festival last year

There are still places available for our Winter Term course Platonic Love starting Monday 7 July (in Carlton and online).

Perhaps your caught the stage play version of the Symposium last year. Now you can read the original. We will also be reading another of Plato’s most vivid dialogues, the Phaedrus.

While this is not strictly one of our beginners courses, those new to Plato usually have no trouble staying apace of these two “plays.”

Remember also to book a seat at the 3rd Annual Timewell LectureSignifying Nothing” 4pm, Sat 12 July, directly following our AGM at 3pm.
