Invent a virtuous republican mythology and “The fire of our friendship burns brighter!”

If you are new to Plato then now is a good time to start. From Monday 12 February, we begin a program of courses through the year designed to develop a rounded introduction to the entire scope of Plato’s writings and ideas. This starts with a wonderfully engaging dialogue in Gorgias: persuasion power and passion. [BOOKINGS CLOSED]

If you are up for a challenge then our other offering for Summer term is to embark on a journey through the entire 10 books of Plato’s Republic [BOOKED OUT]. Ranging across politics, sociology, scientific method and the highest principles of philosophy, Plato’s Republic is always placed amongst the greatest works of our tradition. It will take us two 6-week terms to read and discuss the entire work. Don’t miss Part 1 starting Wednesday 14 February.
